چکیده

Abstract Background The use of smartphones has become widely popular, especially among young people, for multiple purposes other than communication, including gaming and internet browsing. hand wrist weakness is one the main complications associated with increased smartphones. This occurs due to repetitive flexion extension wrist, thumb, fingers, leading a significant musculoskeletal pathology. Little known about relationship between smartphone usage duration (using phones ability monitor screen time) hand-grip, pinch-grip strength. Therefore, study was aimed investigate association strength people. Methods One hundred males volunteered participate in study. Participants were briefly examined height weight using portable stadiometer digital scale. Hand-grip, measurement performed hand-held dynamometer. Smartphones obtained from daily average time reported last seven days. Results Mean participants 7.8 ± 2.2. There weak inverse hand-grip ( r= -.22, p = .03) r =-.28, .004). Linear regression revealed that 18.8 % variance 20.4 explained by age, duration, addition BMI only p’s < 0.00). Conclusions Prolonged related weaker pinch-grip. Despite relationship, showed might contribute as factor along age muscles’

Effect of Grip Span on Lateral Pinch Grip Strength

Repetitive, high-force pinch grip exertions are common in many occupational activities. The goal of the current study was to quantify the relationship between lateral pinch grip span (distance between thumb and index finger) and lateral pinch grip strength. An experiment was conducted in which 40 participants performed maximal lateral pinch grip exertions at 11 levels of grip span distances (0,...

The relationship between maximum oxygen consumption with strength and endurance of hand grip powers in assembly workers

Introduction: Grip and pinch strength assess the function of hand and is considered as a sign of general health. Considering the high prevalence of related-work musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) due to the incongruity of work with the workers and preventability of diseases that are caused by such incongruity, we decided to study the relationship between maximum oxygen consumption (Vo2max) and w...

Norms for hand grip strength.

Norms for hand grip strength of healthy children are presented. Sex and age specific centiles for age 5 to 18 years have been determined using a portable strain gauge dynamometer with an accuracy of 0.5 N. The test group comprised 1417 healthy, urban school children from a middle class suburb of Brisbane. Mean maximum grip strength (of four tests, two with each hand) and mean peak grip strength...
